In my mind, there is nothing more dapper than a bowtie. So it has long been a dream of mine to have a bowtie picnic! When I mentioned this idea to my friend Jason, he not only agreed but invited his friends, Ian and Yuko, who have their own bowtie company. It was the perfect bowtie picnic! The sky was sunny day at Precita Park, there were lots of cute dogs, there was curry in tupperwares, brown rice, umeboshi onigiri, pineapple cakes, macarons, jackfruit, and blackberries. Even Ian and Yuko’s dog Momo was wearing a bowtie! She is the fanciest pup I’ve ever seen!

Ian and Yuko are the sweetest! They handmake each bowtie to order, and they are amazing! You should check them out here! I have the mint chip bowtie and it is so cute. Ian and Yuko also gave me an orange flower-print bowtie for girls. I can’t wait to wear it with a cute summer blouse!

Ian kindly let me record this tutorial for how to tie a bowtie (so I could watch it and practice)! He is a pro, without a mirror!
